What To Wear

On our charters, we want you to feel right at home…or, at least, at your home away from home. So wear what you want. We would strongly recommend deck-friendly footwear (deck gripping flip flops, “crocs”, sneakers, etc.), as well as lightweight apparel to suit the pleasant Destin and Gulf weather conditions. Hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen are highly recommended. On breezy Spring and Fall days, you may also want to bring a light jacket. Check the weather in advance to best plan for your fishing attire.

What To Bring

With your charter, we provide fishing licenses, tackle and gear, frozen bait, ice, expert crew assistance, and fish cleaning once back at the dock. You will also be catching live bait early in the morning as part of getting the full experience of fishing in Destin.

You are responsible to provide your own food, water, drinks (please no glass), sunscreen, ice chests (to take your fish home), cameras, and whatever other items keep you happy. You should also bring some plastic baggies (e.g. ziplocks) to store your fish filets. If you have any questions on what to bring, call Captain Don at (850) 376-8399 or email us at fish@surelurecharters.com.

Departure Times

In general, our charter trips launch promptly at 6:00 AM.  The early morning departure ensures a robust day of fishing in the prime time of the day. Other departure times can be arranged, and some departures vary based on the nature of the charter (afternoon, night, and/or overnight trips). We understand that your time is valuable—as such, the boat will arrive back to the docks at the time you were scheduled to come back.

Where’s The Boat

The SURE LURE is centrally located on the Destin Harbor amidst the world-acclaimed Destin Fishing Fleet Marina right behind Brotula’s Restaurant (formerly, the Fisherman’s Wharf) at 210 Highway 98 East (a.k.a. 210 Harbor Blvd) in Destin — just 1/2 mile east of the Destin bridge. View the map.

What Else

Nothing really.  Just expect to fish, enjoy nature, and have fun doing both.
