NOAA Fisheries and the Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission have announced the re-opening of the popular Gag Grouper season in Federal waters in the Gulf of Mexico effective June 1, 2019 and will remain open through December 31st. This opening coincides with the opening of Red Snapper in the Gulf of Mexico. A two fish daily bag limit per person remains in effect. The minimum size limit for Gag has increased to 24 inches total fish length.
